Crest Hill Says Goodbye To Alderman Convery & Alderwoman Thuringer

charlie candi

The City of Crest Hill would like to wish the very best to former elected officials Candi Thuringer and Charles Convery as they move on to new endeavors in their lives.

Candi Thuringer was elected as Ward 3 Alderwoman in 2013 and served as Co-Chairman of the Events Committee, Lidice Memorial Ceremony, and the Holiday Lights Contest, and as the Crest Hill Liaison to Cable Television in which she played an integral role in improving the quality of cable television broadcast for the City. Thuringer also has dedicated herself to 20 years of public service and strived to improve the quality of life for Crest Hill residents.

Charles Convery was elected to Ward 4 Alderman in 2005 where he has served for the last 12 years. Convery was the Chairman of the Finance Committee, Economic Development Committee and member of the Veterans/Police Memorial Committee. He was also instrumental in hiring the City of Crest Hill's very first City Administrator in 2006.

Both Candi and Charlie will be missed. But rest assured you will still be able to find them in many things involving the City of Crest Hill. Thank you very much for your years of service.
