Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program

Will County Center for Community Concerns is a local Community Action Agency that has served Will County residents since 1987. Their mission is to assist and enable low and moderate income individuals to obtain the opportunities needed to prepare themselves for self-sufficiency. One of the programs the organization uses is called LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program).

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program helps income eligible households pay home energy bills whose 30 day gross income is at or below 150% of the poverty level.FUNDING IS OPEN FOR ALL WHO ARE INCOME ELIGIBLE. Applications will also be taken at Will County Center for Community Concerns located at 2455 Glenwwod Avenue, Joliet, IL 60435, Monday thru Friday from 8:00am to 3pm, and Wednesday from 8:00am to 7pm or until the daily sign-in sheet is full(whichever comes first).  In addition, applications will be taken at various locations throughout the Will County area.  For more information and the nearest location to apply for assistance please call 815-722-0722 or go to www.wcccc.net
